Soul Family

Soul Family was born from a longing for genuine human connection.

A space to slow down.
To breathe.
To move.
To listen.
To remember ourselves beneath the noise of everyday life.

Nestled in the heart of Geelong, Soul Family weaves together sound, yoga, dance, breathwork, stillness, and community through both group experiences and one-on-one offerings.

This space was never created from a place of wanting to “fix” people.

Instead, Soul Family exists as an invitation:
to reconnect with the body,
to soften the nervous system,
to feel what is present,
and to return home to ourselves in a supported and grounded environment.

Through music, movement, sound, silence, ritual, and authentic connection, we create spaces where people can simply be human.

No hierarchy.
No performance.
Just real people coming together in presence.

Whether arriving for a sound journey, breathwork session, yoga class, dance gathering, or quiet moment of stillness — all are welcome here.

This is a space for community.
A space for remembering.
A space to return to yourself.

Meet Hutchy

Hey, I’m Hutchy — the founder of Soul Family.

Soul Family was born from a longing for genuine human connection.
A space where people could slow down, breathe, move, listen, and simply be themselves.

My path has woven through community work, music, breathwork, movement, sound, and a deep curiosity around what it means to be human.

Over the years I’ve worked within youth services, homelessness, and community support, where I witnessed both the fragility and resilience of the human spirit. Those experiences shaped the way I hold space today — with gentleness, honesty, and deep respect for each person’s unique journey.

Alongside this work, I found myself continually drawn back to nature, music, and practices that helped people reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and inner worlds. Sound became a powerful part of that path — through guitar, didgeridoo, flutes, voice, bowls, and rhythm — eventually weaving itself into the heart of Soul Family.

Like many people, my own journey has also moved through grief, loss, change, healing, and remembering. Soul Family was born from those experiences, and from a desire to create spaces where people can soften, reconnect, and feel safe to arrive exactly as they are.

I don’t believe healing comes from someone “fixing” us.
I believe much of what we truly long for is space — space to feel, to be witnessed, to reconnect with the body, and to remember ourselves beneath the noise of everyday life.

Whether you arrive for a sound journey, breathwork session, movement practice, one-on-one offering, or simply out of curiosity — you are welcome here.

At the end of the day…
we’re all just finding our way home.
